"Artist Karen Jacobsen travels by deep-sea submersible to the most inhospitable places on Earth to paint her subjects."
That about sums it up. She has one of my dream jobs and she is a graduate of this program - Class of '87. Ann, the director of this program sent us an article featuring her work and a traveling exhibition called "Beyond the Edge of the Sea." Right now it is up at the Pennsylvania State Earth and Mineral Sciences Museum through August. Below is a link to the article and her work.
